Quota exceeded for quota metric 'All requests' and limit 'All requests per day' of service 'photoslibrary.googleapis.com' for consumer 'project_number:119124004905'.Over Memorial Day weekend, the 12th-14th of October, the Troop travelled to Dolly Sods for its annual backpacking trip. Over the course of the weekend, 5 crews hiked through both the north and south of the beautiful wilderness area. There were close to 50 scouts and scouters backpacking; and luckily, everybody returned home safely.
Many patrols had new scouts attend Sods, bettering their scout skills and having great experiences in the backcountry. Older scouts put their problem solving skills to the test with many usual water sources dried up, causing plans to change and scouts to adapt. Even through these trials and tribulations, no crew endured any injuries.
After a well executed hike out on the part of all crews and a swift role call, scouts and scouters piled into cars and drove to Pizza Hut. There, the Troop sat down for a hearty meal and represented the Troop well due to SPL Simon’s request before the meal. All cars returned to the church as planned, successfully completing this year’s Dolly Sods.
